Hearing Testing
Wilmington Hearing Specialists provides audiological testing to individuals from the ages of 12 hours (infants) to over one hundred years old.  The type of testing varies depending to the age of the client and their capabilities.  Every effort is made to determine how the individual hears tones as well as speech.  Testing in noise is also important.

Auditory Processing Evaluations
Simply put auditory processing is what we do with what we hear.  As sounds enter the ear they travel through the outer ear to the middle ear and then to the inner ear.  This is known as our peripheral hearing.  If there is a difficulty in one of these three areas the individual is considered to have a hearing loss in the traditional sense.

Hearing Aid Evaluations, Fittings and Aural Rehabilitation
Most adults with hearing loss can be helped with hearing aids.  Choosing the right hearing aid can be difficult.  There is an enormous amount of information regarding hearing aids and the choices can be daunting.  Choosing an audiologist who can guide you through this process is the first critical decision in purchasing hearing aids.
